Christian Women in Leadership

Christian Women in Leadership Certificate Overview

In partnership with Woman’s Missionary Union of North Carolina, Campbell Divinity School offers a Christian Women in Leadership Certificate. This certificate program is designed to enhance the ministry of women in leadership by offering certificate credit that can be earned on its own or as part of a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry or a Master of Divinity degree program.

The courses in this certificate program will explore the roles of women in the Bible as well as in church history; they will provide opportunities for self-discovery; and they will allow women to develop their ministry and leadership skills so that they can use their gifts more effectively in their churches, communities, and beyond.

Admission and Fees

Admission

The certificate programs offered by Campbell University Divinity School require students to be enrolled in the school as a non-degree student. An individual would need to complete the non-degree application process and be admitted under its admission guidelines in order to pursue a certificate program.

Non-degree students must have a four-year undergraduate degree from an accredited college. The deadline for non-degree applications is two weeks prior to the date of matriculation. Non-degree applicants are accepted only for specified courses and not a degree program. If a student enrolls as a non-degree student, and later decides to pursue a master-level degree program, he/she will need to complete the master-level application process.

Tuition and Fees

Certificate students will register and pay for classes in the same manner as any other student, with one major exception. In order to make the certificates more widely accessible, certificate students may take up to two classes for a certificate on an audit basis. Click HERE to view tuition and fees.

Auditing Courses

Classes taken for audit are charged at the significantly reduced rate of $100 per credit hour. Audited classes will appear on the transcript with a grade of AU. These classes cannot be transferred into a master’s degree. (Courses not taken as an audit can be transferred to a master’s degree.) To be counted towards the requirements for a certificate, an audited class must be accompanied by certification of satisfactory completion of the class from the professor.

While the option to audit classes is an option, students are welcome to complete a certificate program without auditing the course, in order to receive academic credit for all of the work completed for the program.
