We have long been known by our students and alumni as a school that has generous scholarship assistance available. In keeping with that tradition, we offer eligible applicants the opportunity to compete for a Campbell Divinity Honors Scholarship. These scholarships can cover 75% or 100% of tuition and fees for any of the master-level divinity degrees offered at Campbell. Honors Scholarships can be distributed for fall and spring semester terms for entering students. There are a limited number of honors scholarships available to be distributed each academic year.
For these scholarships, we are looking for applicants who meet the following criteria:
- Undergraduate GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Evidence of significant ministry experience
- Evidence of potential for leadership in ministry
- Evidence of clear sense of vocational call to ministry
In order to be eligible, the candidate must apply for admission to Campbell Divinity School by the posted application deadline. After applying, the Admissions Committee will review the candidate’s admissions application and extend an admissions interview. The Committee will recommend to the Divinity School Scholarship Committee that the applicant be considered for an honors scholarship.
Students who are awarded a 75% honors scholarship will need to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 while enrolled in the Divinity School. Students who are awarded a full-tuition honors scholarship will need to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 while enrolled in the Divinity School. Full-time status is also required for renewal of the honors scholarship each semester. Nine (9) credit hours per semester is considered a full-time load for Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Christian Ministry students. A full-time load can vary from six (6) to nine (9) credit hours per semester for Master of Arts in Faith & Leadership Formation students. Honors scholarships can be applied to any of the master-level degrees for the duration of the student’s time at the Divinity School as long as these requirements are maintained.
