MA in Faith and Leadership Formation

This 18-month degree is accessible without sacrificing what matters most: a learning community. A cohort will be admitted each January, forming a diverse, tight-knit community of learners.

The MA in Faith and Leadership Formation is a 36-hour program with coursework that includes:

  • Five-week Monday afternoon and evening intensives
  • Three-day residential intensives
  • Online instruction

Three intensives and two semesters of once-a-week classes put this degree within reach.

Spring Year One (6 semester credit hours):

  • DIVI 8101 – Faith and Leadership Seminar I
  • DIVI 4090 – Spiritual Formation for Christian Leaders

Summer Year One (6 semester credit hours):

  • DIVI 5500 – Relational Skills for Christian Leaders
  • DIVI 8105 – Models of Faith and Leadership

Fall Year Two (9 semester credit hours):

  • DIVI 1500 – The Christian Scriptures
  • DIVI 4422 – Writing for Christian Leaders
  • DIVI 3200 – Christian Mission

Spring Year Two (9 semester credit hours):

  • DIVI 2500 – The Christian Tradition
  • DIVI 8102 – Faith and Leadership Seminar II
  • DIVI 8110 – Character Formation for Christian Leaders

In addition, students will take an additional six semester credit hours from the courses listed below:

  • DIVI 2234 – Theology and Food (3 semester credit hours)
  • DIVI 2025 – American Christianity (3 semester credit hours)
  • DIVI 2260 – Global Christianity (3 semester credit hours)
  • DIVI 2224 – Theology and Culture (3 semester credit hours)
  • DIVI 1502 – Bible and Culture (3 semester credit hours)
