The following was written by Tim Lipp, CUDS alumnus and 1st year CUDS Doctor of Ministry student.
As an average student, returning to Campbell Divinity School for my DMIN after completing my MDIV in 2004 was never a thought that had crossed my mind. To be honest, I was a bit intimidated. But, to my pleasant surprise, my experience so far has been nothing as I had expected it to be, in many ways it has exceeded my expectations!
The DMIN program at Campbell is rooted in serving the local church, to which I have committed my life’s work and for which I feel called of God to do. Already I can see the applications of what I am learning being used in my ministry context. The sharing of ideas with fellow colleagues is priceless and inspiring. The professors are here because they want to be and would not have it any other way. I cannot imagine studying at another theological school!
If you are considering continuing your education and perhaps you are like me and you never imagined God would take you down the road of a DMIN program, I would like to encourage you with these words, “You can do it!” I am in my first year at Campbell Divinity’s DMIN program and I look forward to seeing how God is going to stretch me to think and grow in new and exciting ways over the next few years!
